At present, the industrial pepper planting area of Taiping town has reached 240 mu (16 hectares). It is expected that the output of each mu (about 0.067 hectares) can reach 2,000 kg, and the income per mu (about 0.067 hectares) is about 5,000 yuan.
Xiangxi Jifeng Agricultural Development Company was introduced to establish a platform for technical cooperation and exchanges between enterprises and farmers, providing hands-on guidance to farmers from seed selection, and seedling cultivation to field management.
At the same time, the town organized multiple training sessions for farmers on green prevention and control of diseases and pests of industrial peppers, and signed minimum purchase contracts with farmers to solve their sales concerns.
